Greater independence.

About Hudson Street Apartments

Throughout our history, Paxton Ministries has strived to help our residents to achieve as much independence as possible. In our Hudson Street Apartment program, we provide one- and two-bedroom apartments for seven residents who require minimal staff support to maintain their independence and manage their mental health needs.  Each resident is required to engage in meaningful activity (which may include employment, volunteer work, approved education, or mental health programs, etc.) on a weekly basis. As members of our Community Living program, residents at Hudson Street enjoy a close-knit community of peers with whom they meet regularly and work cooperatively to care for the common areas of the property. While the majority of residents receive routine support from community-based case managers, supportive living workers, etc., Hudson Street residents also have the benefit of receiving limited individualized support from Paxton staff in times of increased needs.

Coming Home to Hudson Street Apartments

Residents of Hudson Street Apartments benefit from the informal peer support of neighbors in the program, along with limited support from staff committed to promoting recovery and self-reliance.

Support services are tailored to the individual needs of each resident, and may include:

  • Routine wellness checks
  • Assistance connecting with community resources
  • Budgeting assistance
  • Crisis management services (when needed)
