=Decorate Your Table Day |

Once a year the activities department has a special “Decorate Your Table” day. This idea began when former staff member Rita Hicks suggested that instead of the staff decorating the dining room for all the special events, we should let the residents do it. This event allows our residents to showcase their hobbies, talents, collections and the things they are most proud of. Some of our past table themes have included football helmets, Star Trek memorabilia, baseball figurines and cards, paintings, calligraphy and tons of stuffed animals. |

Christmas at Paxton is always a special event. We start our day with a beautiful buffet breakfast. The main Christmas meal is served at noon with staff and volunteers serve meals tableside. In the afternoon, every resident gets a wrapped gift purchased by staff members who shop just for them.

Around the House there’s always something going on. Recent activities included Hat Day, an exciting pool tournament and lots of football on TV. We’ve also been on shopping trips, a mall walk, a visit to the Civil War Museum, bird watching at the Wildwood Conservation Area and a whole lot more.
