Our Homes

We presently provide two levels of care and independence to serve our diverse resident population. Our homes are: Paxton Street Home and the Hudson Street Apartments.

Paxton Street Home
Our ministry was founded in 1981, and Paxton Street Home opened it's doors in November of that year.

Paxton Street Home (PSH) is a licensed Personal Care Home. PSH provides housing for 85 residents and approximately 15 staff members in a supportive, family-like atmosphere. Each resident has his or her own private room.

We provide three meals a deal, weekly linen service and 24 hour staffing. Medication monitoring, room care assistance and other help with daily living tasks are provided to our residents that need such services. Residents are free to come and go as they please, as we have a very relaxed enviroment. We are not a nursing home, and residents must be able to care for their own physical needs such as bathing.

Hudson Street Apartments
Opened in 1995 the Hudson Street Apartments are classified as a Supportive Living Arrangement. Here five residents have their own apartment, with a staff couple also living in the building.

The Hudson Street Apartments are located on the next street to the west of Paxton Street Home, a two minute walk. Residents of this apartment are responsible to care for their own apartment, but they have a
staff couple nearby is case of emergency. This small apartment is a community in and of itself as these "neighbors" share in birthdays, cookouts, and other community events.

In Summary
The goal of everything we do is to help our residents to live as independently as possible, and yet to not feel isolated from friendship, support and accountability. Therefore, our residents at Hudson Street Apartments are encouraged to continue to be a part of the larger community at Paxton Street Home by stopping by for special meals, events, or just to visit.
