Voluntary Service (VS) What is Voluntary Service (VS)? It is a short-term missions opportunity in which you give at least one month of your life in service to those who need a helping hand as a way of sharing the gospel of Jesus. What does Voluntary Service mean at Paxton Ministries? It means becoming a member of the Paxton Ministries (PM) community.
What are the benefits of VS? If you serve as a VSer at Paxton Ministries, you will receive a monthly stipend of $150, room and board, and health insurance. Most importantly, you will be given the opportunity to share Christ's love and to receive much love in return. You will gain ministry and job experience that will serve you well whatever your career goal may be. And you will learn the value of individuals who are often seen as valueless in our society. What are the qualifications for serving as a VSer? The most important qualifications for service at Paxton Ministries are a personal faith in Jesus Christ and a heart for ministry. Also important is the willingness to experience Christian community and to serve according to your ability in all components of Paxton Ministries. What is the VS application process? 1) Fill out a VS application and return
it to Jenn Smith, Volunteer Coordinator. For more information or to obtain a
