"I first spent a weekend as a volunteer in the kitchen in 1996. At that time a volunteer’s weekend extended from suppertime on Friday through suppertime on Sunday, with two nights spent sleeping in the building. By the end of that first weekend, I was hooked. In 2001, I joined the staff.  I learned a lot in a short time about working with and for people who have very vulnerable daily needs. From the beginning, I have been inspired by the help and care given to the residents who call Paxton home."

"Tim thrived at Paxton Street Home. He worked for years at the Federal Building, mopping the halls. During mealtimes in Paxton’s dining room, he spent countless hours talking with staff and other residents about his favorite subjects: baseball players, teams, batting averages, games, and World Series statistics.
