Our Strategic Plan

We’ve chosen this jar as a tangible representation of who we are and where we want to go as a ministry. While the various stones inside signify the key focus areas and how we plan to make a greater difference in our community, the jar itself is what holds everything together. God is the one holding Paxton together, and our commitment to our Christian mission is unchanged. We will keep God first while acknowledging and fulfilling with Christ-like love our values of dignity and respect, integrity, excellence, community, collaboration, and stewardship. 

Over the 45 years of Paxton's story, we’ve witnessed God’s faithfulness as we’ve served Him. We’ve seen His light shining in the darkness, changing lives. We are positioned to fulfill our mission in new and better ways for the people who live here now. We are prepared to step out and carry our mission to serve more people in need. We are ready to show the world that the way we live in community allows light to shine in the darkest places.

Through our 5-year Strategic Plan, launched in 2023, we are focusing on developing Paxton Ministries in the following key areas:

• INCREASE community awareness – expand marketing
• EXPAND independent living opportunities and support to adults in need
• INCREASE partnerships with agencies or organizations that complement our work
• DIVERSIFY Paxton Solutions employment opportunities

Comprehensive Care

• EXPAND our service capabilities for our existing residents
• PREPARE to expand operationally into new long-term care options
• INCREASE focus on the level of care and transition challenges
• DEVELOP Paxton Solutions into a thriving supportive employer

Financial Stability and Agility

• EVALUATE and revitalize facilities
• DIVERSIFY revenue sources
• DEVELOP strong operational reserves
