COMMUNITY LIVING PROGRAM

Community Lodges

Scenery Lodge and Boas Street Lodge offer four- and five-bedroom single family homes for adults living with the challenges of mental illness. Designed to foster a family-like atmosphere, these homes emphasize peer support and shared responsibility, with residents working together to care for themselves and their living space. Our Lodge Program is based on the nationally recognized Fairweather Lodge model—an evidence-informed approach to recovery for individuals with mental illness.

Who Lives at the Community Lodges?

The Community Lodges provide affordable housing for men (22 and older) living with a mental health diagnosis. The program is best suited for individuals who have the skills to live independently, but who benefit from living with other people. Program participants must manage their own medications and health needs while maintaining part-time employment.

Services Offered

Both Boas Street and Scenery Lodges offer affordable shared housing with fully-furnished private bedrooms and well-appointed shared living spaces for 4-5 men. With limited staff support, program participants exercise group autonomy by collectively managing their shared responsibilities, including weekly house meals, routine care and upkeep of common areas, and paying household bills. Lodge members meet regularly to work through any problems that arise and to provide one another mutual accountability and support. ï»¿
